A visit to the European Parliament in Brussels was an important step in the development of the Ninanki program. Professor Krzysztof Ficek met with MEPs Ewa Kopacz, Adam Jarubas, and Łukasz Kohut.
During the meeting, the Ninanki program’s objectives and its importance in building body awareness through movement and accompanying elements such as music, ecology, and art were presented. The discussions emphasized that physical activity plays a key role in human development – for both children and adults – supporting health, well-being, and cognitive processes.
The program’s potential in educational settings such as preschools and primary schools was highlighted, where it can be a valuable complement to the learning process.
The Ninanki program was presented as a universal tool for working on children’s motor development, available in various languages – including Silesian – enabling its application in diverse cultural environments.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the concept of education through movement, as well as a synthesis of multiple disciplines, and to discuss opportunities for further development at the European level. The visit opened up new perspectives – we look forward to seeing where they may lead us.
